OurArtworks is the brainchild of William Heard. He is an artist with a disability, who found an escape from the trials and tribulations of being a quadriplegic, through art.

OurArtworks, founded in 2006, is a non-profit funded by a grant from the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services received from the Spinal Cord Trust Fund of Mississippi. It was created for people with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and those with other disabilities, who need an outlet to be creative.

OurArtworks now has a full time studio, where any of the members can come to create whatever they want, however they want, and with anything they choose. Our goal is to provide a fun and social climate for our members. There are professional artists on hand and volunteer guest artists that visit to show their craft and help the members.
